The Sun in Hydrogen Alpha.

July 2005

Didn’t manage one image during the whole of June, hopefully July will be better.

2005 July 3

About 60 images were stacked using Registax to produce the disc detail and 12 for the prominences. The two images were colorized and combined using Photoshop.

This is the most active I have seen the Sun since acquiring my PST.

Had a go at reprocessing the image.

2005 July 13

Not much happening on the disc of the Sun, but a huge Prominence at 9 o’clock, possibly associated with the pair of sunspots about to disappear round the Sun's limb. A huge flare erupted from this spot a few hours later.
