During the Festival, the telescope was under the control of members of the north of Scotland's two mainland astronomy clubs.

Bill Leslie This is the best I can do with this image. The raw Fualkes telescope is below for comparison. A Luminance Layer was created from a grey-scale version of the image and added to the colour version. This reduced the noise in the image and increased the contrast in the spiral arms. |
